Kids-Lift works alongside Premium Service Brands franchise partners to uplift children in need of school supplies and meals. Although we are a relatively new charitable organization, we have already made a big impact on communities around the country.
In recognition of our efforts to change the world for the better for young school children, Franchising Gives Back of the International Franchise Association has recently awarded Kids-Lift its Newcomer Prize award. This specific award is reserved for outstanding charitable contributions made by a nonprofit organization within one year of beginning its operations.
Samantha Lin, our executive director, accepted the Newcomer Prize award at the International Franchise Association meeting in Washington, DC earlier this week. She explained our mission to those in attendance as such: “Nationally, kids from lower socio-economic families do worse than their counterparts in school. We want to give all kids the opportunities to succeed by giving them the food and supplies they need to feel supported.” Afterwards, Congressman Denver Riggleman met with Premium Service Brands and Kids-Lift staff members to thank them for their contributions and charitable efforts.
September marks our one-year anniversary as a nonprofit organization, with our mission first beginning back in September 2018. Since then, we have hosted backpack drives, donated meals and snacks to several schools, and spread hope wherever we go. While official awards are fantastic and much appreciated, the greatest award our work brings is seeing a smile on a kid’s face!
