Kids-Lift of the Premium Service Brands family is proud to announce we had a chance to support the schoolchildren of Albemarle County, Virginia. According to educational board members in the region, approximately 30% of school-aged children in the county are reliant on free or reduced-cost school lunches. Although, they tentatively say that the real number of children and families in need throughout the area are probably much higher.
To help bring food to children in need, Kids-Lift organized a food drive to benefit Stone Robinson Elementary. During winter break, kids who rely on the food school provides may not get enough to eat at home. Kids-Lift worked with 360 Painting of Central VA, Maid Right of Central VA, and staff from Premium Service Brands to raise hundreds of pounds of shelf-stable food for over 40 families. Families were welcome to take what they needed for the break, including the festive hams bought for the occassion.
The Kids-Lift mission is making certain schoolchildren everywhere have the food and supplies they need to succeed in school. Sometimes, succeeding in school means making sure they are healthy and secure in their homes, even when school isn't in session. This charitable drive is a perfect indication of what we do to make that difference.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this charitable effort in Albemarle County a big success! We look forward to the next chance we get to work together to make the world a better place.
