Kids-Lift, the non-profit arm of Premium Service Brands, is coordinating eight Virtual Food Drives with franchisees of Premium Service Brands and schools around the country. This winter, the struggles that children and families facing food insecurity endure are being heightened by the coronavirus pandemic. Many children are no longer attending school in-person, meaning that they experience more difficulties accessing the meals provided by their schools. Furthermore, joblessness and financial difficulties have hindered millions of families from having adequate amounts of food in their households.
In accordance with its mission, Kids-Lift found a safe way to get children and their families the food that they need this winter to focus on learning and making it through the pandemic together.
Kids-Lift staff members, Premium Service Brands franchisees, and employees of schools across the country have worked together to coordinate virtual food drives that will combat child hunger this winter. These Virtual Food Drives began at the beginning of January and will run through the end of March. Giving back to your community has never been easier- to donate, contributors simply view the Amazon List for the school they choose to donate to. From there, they can decide which items, and how many of each item, to contribute to the school’s Virtual Food Drive. These donations are shipped directly to the school, where they will be distributed to kids in need.
